Since 2007 One Heart has hosted yearly Vacation Bible Schools for young adults and adults with disabilities. VBS has quickly became a summer favorite of many people with great excitement leading up the event. VBS lasts a week and each day there is something new to be learned. We divide up into smaller groups that give the “day-campers” and their volunteers a good time to get to know each other and talk about what was taught that day. There is a service each day with singing, games, and a Bible lesson.
Days at VBS also include: small group time, snacks, crafts, gym time, and prizes. Each participate pays a small fee to offset the event and they get a VBS shirt, notebook, snacks and crafts all week, and a pizza dinner on one of the last days of camp. VBS is a summer must for many volunteers and participants.
